Line two hasn't answered. Is the goalkeeper in?

Know who is coming before you build your lines. See which games have a goalkeeper, then give everyone a line and a position before the first face-off.

Floorball runs on lines.

Five players and a goalkeeper on the floor, changes on the fly, three periods of twenty minutes. benchli is set up the same way.

THE GAME

Three periods of twenty

Twenty minutes of effective time, three times over. A floorball game on benchli is three periods, not two halves.

THE POSITIONS

Six, not three

Goalkeeper, left and right defence, centre, left and right wing. Not just "defender, forward".

THE LINES

Up to five lines

Put each player on a line with their position and their place in it, then change it when the week does.

THE KEEPER

A goalkeeper for every game

Mark your goalkeepers once and the goalie schedule shows, game by game, who is in goal and which games have nobody.

My Stats for a floorball player: 9 games, 9 P, 2 G, 7 A, 2 PIM and 52 shots, with Points, Goals and Assists buttons below
On the match report

Points are goals plus assists. Just like the topscorer list.

Goals and assists add up to points, the way Swiss topscorer lists count them. Goalkeepers get a section of their own, with save percentage and shutouts.

Save percentage is worked out from the whole season's saves and goals against, not averaged game by game.

Years of evenings in the sports hall and nothing to show for it but a sore wrist?

Hat tricks and five-point nights deserve a record.

Hat tricks, three-assist games, the goalkeeper's shutout: benchli will catch them after the game and put them in front of the whole team. Floorball milestones, plus the ones every player earns.

NotableHat trickThree goals in one game. The group chat will bring it up for years.
NotableThree-assist gameThree assists in one game. Credit for the player who sets up the rest.
RareGoalie assistThe goalkeeper's throw-out that ends up in the net at the other end.
LegendarySeven-point gameGoals plus assists add up to seven in one game. A proper night's work.
The floorball notebook

Lines, positions and a goalkeeper of their own.

What benchli already does for floorball, and what it can't do yet.

Already on the floor

  • Six positions, goalkeeper to wings, so a lineup reads the way you'd call it from the bench.
  • Lines of up to five, with each player's position and place in the line.
  • Game squads from 6 to 22, which is what a full Swiss match report holds.
  • A goalie schedule that shows which games have a goalkeeper and which don't, before it matters.
  • Stat headings a floorball scorer looks for: Scoring, Discipline, Shooting and Goalkeeping.
  • Points as goals plus assists, and save percentage from the season's saves and goals against.

Still in the equipment room

  • Kleinfeld, the smaller floor of three players and a goalkeeper, as a format of its own.
  • Overtime and penalty-shot results, and the Swiss league points that go with them: 3, 2, 1 and 0.
  • Penalty shots, shorthanded goals and empty-net goals as stats of their own.
  • The overtime winner, which needs the order of the goals within a game.
  • Own goals, which the Swiss match report writes as ET.

Common questions

Does it work for Kleinfeld (small court) as well as Grossfeld (full court)?

Not as a format of its own yet. benchli is set up for Grossfeld: five players and a goalkeeper, and game squads of 6 to 22. A Kleinfeld team can still use the availability, roster and schedule side, but the squad size and lineup positions assume the larger game.

Can we set our lines?

Yes. Put each player on one of up to five lines, with their position and their place in the line. The goalkeeper is a position like any other.

How many players can we name for a game?

From 6 to 22. Five players and a goalkeeper start, and 22 is the most a Swiss match report holds.

Do goalkeepers get their own stats?

Yes. Saves, goals against, save percentage and shutouts sit under their own Goalkeeping heading. Save percentage is worked out from the season's saves and goals against, not averaged game by game.

Does the table use Swiss league points?

Not yet. Swiss league games give 3 points for a win in regular time, 2 for a win in overtime or on penalty shots and 1 for losing there. benchli doesn't mark overtime or penalty shots as a result yet, and its table counts a win as 2 points and a draw as 1, so check the league's own table for the official standings.

We say unihockey. Is this the right page?

Yes, it's the same game. Unihockey is the name Swiss clubs and their federation, swiss unihockey, use. benchli says floorball in English and Unihockey in German.
